Excursions
All year levels organise excursions or incursions related to their educational program throughout the year. Parent support in this area is always welcomed.

Outdoor Education - Camps
Galilee has implemented a Prep-6 sequential camping program. Each year the children experience a different camping environment and develop new skills. Prep to Year 2 have an overnight stay at school whilst the Year 3 to 6 children stay at accredited camp sites throughout Victoria

School Assemblies
Assemblies are held fortnightly in either the hall or multipurpose room. Each week a class presents an item to the school community related to what they have been learning in the classroom. At these assemblies awards of recognition are presented to selected students from all year levels. Parents are most welcome to attend.
Art Show
Galilee's Art Show is a display of the children's skills and techniques developed in art sessions and used not only in art activities but throughout all curriculum areas. It is held annually in the school hall and is opened by a local artist.

Instrumental Lessons
Private music lesson are available at Galilee through the Metro Music School. Lessons are once a week for 30 minutes during school hours. Guitar, Piano and Keyboard are currently being taught.
Italian Day
Italian Day is held at Galilee each year. The children are assembled into multi-age groups for the day and participate in a number of activities designed to enrich their knowledge of Italy and the Italian culture through games, music and art. An Italian lunch or dessert is provided and parents are welcome to join in on this festive educational day.

Book Week
Our library participates eagerly in Children's Book Week celebrations every year, running a Book Fair and organising some activities focusing on the Book Week theme for that year.
