Is based on respect for teachers, students and parents- Is relevant to and respectful of the students' stage of personal development, socio-economic background, cultural heritage and religious experiences
- Respects the children's freedom in exploring their faith and moving towards commitment
- Involves family and Parish
- Enables teachers to be supported through in-service and opportunities for personal faith development
- Recognises that Religious Education is an educational process
